6 Books that Inspired Creativity

Hello Friends!

Today is National Book Lovers Day!!! One of my new favorite holidays! :)

While I am so proud of “The Creativity Gene: 5 Universal Traits to Spark Success” and the praise it has received, I couldn’t have achieved it without the guidance of some of my own favorite authors.

I am SO excited to share some of my top recommendations for books that will continue to empower you on your journey for creative alignment.

These are books that I have resonated with for a variety of reasons, at different times of my life, and what they all have in common is that they empower us to find a connection to ourselves and others in new ways. These aspects help us to prepare our mindsets to achieve more than we ever thought we could!

Check out my list below and let me know yours!

  1. “Maybe You Should Talk to Someone: A Therapist, HER Therapist, and Our Lives Revealed” by Lori Gottlieb

WOW. If you think you are the only person with challenges to face, this book brought so many inner dialogues and struggles to light that are super approachable and relatable in an entertaining and meaningful way. I highly recommend “Maybe You Should Talk to Someone” if you’re looking for confirmation that you are a human, with feelings, with purpose, with potential, and more.

  2. “The Confidence Gap: A Guide to Overcoming Fear & Self-Doubt” by Russ Harris

“The Confidence Gap” gave me actionable methods to let go of some of my biggest hangups. We all have those hooks that grab us and take us down depressing and miserable rabbit holes, reminding us of mistakes we have made from when we were younger or reflecting on what we wish we would have done. These triggers take away our ability to move on and to prepare for the future in order to be our best selves. Check this book out if you’re looking for some actionable guidance to move the fuck on!

  3. “Chasing the Bright Side: Embrace Optimism, Activate Your Purpose, and Write Your Own Story” by Jess Ekstrom

Dreams are hard. We don’t know exactly what to expect from them or how to make them happen. And “Chasing the Bright Side” shows that it is hard to achieve your dreams in many ways, however, there is always a way to reach your goal. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for inspiration to go for a goal that involves helping others in a special way.

  4. “The Crossroads of Should and Must: Find and Follow Your Passion” by Elle Luna

Don’t you hate it when someone says “You should have done this… or that…” I despise that feeling of doing something the wrong way when, in reality, there actually is no wrong way to do something. Sure, it may not be the most efficient or effective method, but that doesn’t make it wrong. And I think this book emphasizes that important message. We don’t have to listen to what other people think or tell us to do, or how it is supposed to be done if it doesn’t correspond with our core values. If you’re feeling that you’re at a crossroads and can’t determine what is best for YOU to do next, take a gander at “The Crossroads of Should and Must.”

  5. “A More Beautiful Question: The Power of Inquiry to Spark Breakthrough Ideas” by Warren Berger

Questions are beautiful, yes. This book takes a deeper look at the purpose of questions and how asking more specific, in-depth questions, and challenging social norms in our own lives can lead us to achieve great things that can positively impact the world. With many real-life examples, “A More Beautiful Question” will inspire you to keep asking questions and finding new answers.

  6. “The Purpose Factor: Extreme Clarity for Why You’re Here and What to Do About It” by Gabrielle & Brian Bosche

“The Purpose Factor” is a fantastic book if you are lacking clarity in your life. Without a clear understanding of the potential your purpose has on the world around you, it will be challenging to make it actionable. Gabrielle and Brian have spent YEARS studying this topic and have defined “purpose” in a way that you can develop your unique impact in a meaningful way to help others. What could be better than that?

Take a look at these books, and leave comments below for more! We can always use more inspiration to share meaningful and impactful experiences in our lives.

It’s time to create!
